This Saturday, the gathering of male choirs took place in the magnificent premises of the Hlahol Federal House. Dozens of singers traveled from Bohemia and Moravia to take part in the first joint rehearsal of the combined choirs, and even though it was not easy to sing together in just a few hours, the impressions of the training are entirely positive. Especially because it managed to create a characteristic, full body sound that only the most experienced members remember. Only in a more powerful cast do the prescribed dynamics sound right and the choral pianissimo resembles the proverbial calm before the storm. And there is power when it thunders, you have something to look forward to!
In the picture you can see the Smetana Prague Choir headed by prof. Vladimír Doležal at a performance for Czechoslovak television in 1984. All sing cleanly and without notes.
